A company is like a ship sailing through the waves of the economy, sometimes braving the wind and waves, sometimes sailing with the wind. In 2011, a group of 23 people, driven by a sincere desire to serve their country, mostly came from state-owned aerospace enterprises and were dedicated to planning at the grassroots level and moving towards a fully market-oriented approach. In that year, the predecessor of Guizhou Gui'an New Area Dongjiang Technology Co., Ltd.—Guiyang Kunge Technology Co., Ltd.—was born.

In 2011, a group of 23 people, mostly from state-owned aerospace enterprises, with a sincere heart to serve the motherland, dedicated themselves to planning at the grassroots level and moving towards a fully market-oriented approach. That year, the predecessor of Guizhou Gui'an New Area Dongjiang Technology Co., Ltd. — Guiyang Kunge Technology Co., Ltd. — was born.
1. Setting Sail, Strengthening the Foundation ( 2011 -2013 Year)
In February 2011, Guiyang Kunge Technology Co., Ltd. was established. The company mainly provided aerospace components for Guizhou Aerospace Electric Co., Ltd., which was the company's only client at the beginning. The fixed assets included a two-story production plant, with the first floor as the production workshop and the second floor as the office area. There was one employee canteen and one floor of accommodation.
In November of the same year, the development of the N-type connector socket was successful, and the company achieved further development.
In April 2012, the development of the Kovar alloy socket technology was successful. In 2013, the thin-walled shell forming technology was mastered, and the company began external orders.
From 2011 to 2013 was a three-year period of solid foundation building for the company. Internally, the company strictly implemented 6S management, keeping the production workshop clean and tidy.
2. Expansion Scope and Improvement of Structure (201 4 Year -2015 Year)
In 2014, the company was attracted to settle in the high-end equipment manufacturing industrial park of Gui'an New Area through investment promotion, becoming the first enterprise to enter the park. In September, it signed an investment contract with Gui'an New Area and was officially registered and renamed Guizhou Gui'an New Area Dongjiang Technology Co., Ltd. on September 28, with a registered capital of 12.222222 million yuan and a plant area of 4,700 square meters. The company mainly engaged in the research, development, production, and sales of electrical connectors.
Around National Day in 2014, some employees moved to the new area to plan and design the new plant.
By January 2015, Guizhou Gui'an New Area Dongjiang Technology Co., Ltd. officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the help of the new area. In March of the same year, all employees relocated to the new area. Due to changes in work location and some benefits, more than 20 employees resigned. The company established a salary system, implemented overproduction bonuses, and restored meal subsidies.
In 2015, full production was launched, investing in connector R&D, with quality inspectors strictly controlling the developed products, earning the Excellent Supplier award from AVIC Shaanxi Siling Electronics Co., Ltd.
3. Seizing Opportunities and Developing Business (201 -2017 6 Year Year) Year)
Based on the R&D investment in 2015, the company's organizational structure was further improved: in 2016, a research and development team was established, separating the quality department from the technical quality department to better support connector production and R&D. In April 2016, the company received the Strongest Support Award from Aerospace Electric.
In terms of qualifications and honors, the company passed the ISO9001 quality management system, GJB9001C quality system, and was approved as a high-tech enterprise in Guizhou Province in November. The acquisition of these systems and qualifications proved the company's new progress in connector technology R&D.
With the support of R&D technology, in 2017 the company began market development, establishing a marketing department and an engineering technology department. In January, it acquired Guiyang Feihang Technology Co., Ltd., expanding into automation equipment business, using high-precision positioning to greatly improve the accuracy and output of parts products. In June, the connector completed the military standard system construction, achieving new results in the military industry.
Besides the application of automation equipment, in October 2017, the company’s finished connector workshop built a separate production line, laying the foundation for the future development of the company’s product lines.
4. Struggling and Urgently Needing Transformation (201 8 Year -2019 Year)
2018 was a year of "earth-shaking" changes. Pressured by development trends, the company was forced to accelerate transformation. Supported by R&D and market, the company began transforming into finished product assembly, expanding the market, and selling a series of connector finished products, mainly micro rectangular connectors. It was included in the "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" SME cultivation catalog by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, proving the company’s commitment to becoming a first-class intelligent specialized and innovative enterprise.
In August 2018, it was a key project observation point in Guizhou Province. In October, the company completed the construction of the confidentiality management system and passed the Level 3 Confidential Unit certification in 2019, indicating the company can undertake scientific research and production tasks of corresponding confidentiality levels. The qualification brought benefits to the company.
In 2019, the assembly production line was expanded. By the end of the year, the company had 137 employees, with improved production support and sales exceeding 25 million yuan. The same year, the equipment manufacturing qualification certificate was obtained, meaning the company’s technical capabilities and management level met military requirements, further improving the company’s competitive mechanism.
In 2019, the trademark Don Knn was applied for registration (representing Distinctive, Optimum, Newest, Known, Nice, Nano), reflecting the company’s specialized and innovative characteristics. The company also established its website.
In 2019, the company received the Advanced Grassroots Party Organization award from the CPC Gui'an New Area Working Committee, transforming the internal culture from a family to comradeship, dedicated to the R&D and production of connector products.
5. Persevering 、 Improving Systems and Building Brand (2020 -2022 Year)
In February 2020, the finished product workshop moved back from Building 6 to Building 23, reorganizing the parts workshop and assembly workshop overall layout, with the assembly workshop moved to the second floor and the parts workshop to the first floor.
In 2021, the company officially became a "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" small and medium-sized enterprise and was recognized by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as a provincial-level industrial design center. Despite the severe impact of the pandemic, the company adhered to a flexible mechanism, paid attention to meticulous craftsmanship, and focused on product development. In March, it underwent shareholding reform, and in June of the same year, Xi'an Yingzhihang invested in the company. By the end of the year, sales exceeded 40 million. Product and system honors accelerated across the board.
In 2022, the company further advanced towards specialization, with brand building becoming a key focus. The quality policy was revised to: high quality and speed, standardized innovation; customer first, brand building. To meet development needs, the corporate values were changed to: solid progress, achieving customer success. Value is realized through customers; employees must enhance both hard and soft skills, engage in self-reflection and cultivation, while also innovating, researching, and developing.
Regarding personnel structure, the company currently has more than 170 employees, including 97 in the production system, over 30 in the technical team, and 30 in sales and quality teams. The market is distributed across East China, Central China, North China, Northwest, and Southwest regions, with offices in Beijing, Wuhan, Xi'an, Nanjing, and Chengdu. To date, the company has been granted 32 utility model patents, 1 invention patent, and 16 invention patents are in the substantive examination stage.
